QBO is not intuitive to use if you don't have a bookkeeping or accounting background and I get flustered easily if I'm trying to use a system but don't understand how to do it. Without someone to guide you, it's really not clear what you should be doing. In the Books saved me from making mistakes and from many hours of frustration and confusion in switching from Freshbooks to QBO. Thanks to the training provided as part of the service, I learned how to update and maintain my bookkeeping (including how to let the system handle my USD transactions and convert them properly into CAD) and can now do my bookkeeping myself without much trouble at all. With every interaction we had, I felt In the Books had my best interests at heart and that I could trust them even though we're in different provinces and we've never been able to meet in person. I especially appreciated how patient and helpful they were when I had follow-up questions about how to handle different transactions that I don't deal with very much (e.g. giving or receiving refunds).
